- Forging: forging is one of the simplest and oldest metal molding processes in which the metal is shaped by hammering and extrusion under the conditions of cold working or high temperature operation.
- Rolling: the hot metal billet passes through a number of continuous cylindrical rollers, which roll the metal into the mold to obtain the preset shape.
- Drawing steel wire: the process of drawing metal strip into fine wire shape by using a series of drawing dies with gradually smaller specifications.
- Extrusion: a low-cost process for continuous metal machining of solid or hollow metal with the same cross-section shape, which can be operated at high temperature and cold working.
- Impact extrusion: process for processing small to medium sized parts without chimney taper requirements. Production is fast, can process various wall thickness parts. The cost of processing is low.
- Powder metallurgy: a process that can be used to process ferrous and nonferrous metal components. It includes two basic processes: mixing the alloy powder and pressing the mixture into the mold. The metal particles are heated and sintered at high temperature. This process does not require machining, and the utilization rate of raw materials can reach 97%. Different metal powders can be used to fill different parts of the mold.
Solid forming part
Solid forming processing: refers to the use of raw materials are some of the room temperature conditions can be molded metal strip, sheet and other solid form. It belongs to labor-intensive production. Cnc Machining cost input can be relatively low.
Classification of solid forming processing
- Spinning: a very common process for producing circular symmetrical parts, such as plates, cups, and cones. During machining, the high-speed rotating metal plate is pushed closer to the model on the rotating, fixed lathe to obtain the preset shape. This process is suitable for all kinds of batch production.
- Bending: an economical production process for processing any form of sheet, rod and tube materials.
- Continuous roll forming: the metal sheet is fed between the press rollers to obtain the metal shape with continuous length and uniform cross-section. It is similar to the extrusion process, but there is a limitation on the wall thickness of the machined components, so only a single wall thickness can be obtained. Only under the premise of mass production, the processing cost is the most reasonable.
- Stamping forming: the metal sheet is placed between the male mold and the female mold, and is pressed to form a hollow shape. The depth can be as deep as shallow.
- Punching: using special tools to punch and cut a certain shape on the sheet metal, which can be used in large and small batch production.
- Punching: basically similar to punching process, the difference is that the former uses the punching part, while the latter uses the remaining part of the sheet metal after punching.
- Cutting: cutting sheet metal by cutting is the same as cutting paper from the best position with a pair of scissors.
- Chip forming: when cutting metal, the cutting mode with chip production is collectively referred to as chip forming, including milling, drilling, lathe processing, grinding, sawing and other processes.
- Chip free molding: use the existing metal strip or metal sheet for modeling. No chips are produced. Such processes include chemical processing, corrosion, electrical discharge machining, sandblasting, laser cutting, water jet cutting and thermal cutting.
